My Bachelorette Party is tonight and I am worried about taking my zoloft and drinking. Should I skip it (I am afraid this will make me sick, I get really dizzy when I don't take it) or should I take it before or after I start drinking....Help any really quick answers or experiences would be helpful.

As a college student and depressed teenager, I am experienced in the ways of alcohol and medication.

When I asked my doctor, he said it would be best to take Zoloft in the morning if I planned on drinking later in the evening. I have generally used that as a rule of thumb.

Now as for effects of mixing Zoloft and alcohol, I did not get sick at all. If anything, it was euphoric, but maybe not the healthiest decision to make, if I were to guess. Zoloft and alcohol together has always made me very sleepy, but other than that I have not been sick or had any problems.

So my best advice for you is to take your Zoloft earlier in the day and the effects of Zoloft and alcohol will be less pervasive, if even at all.

It is not a good idea to drink with Zoloft. But then it isnot a good idea to skip your medication either. Drink some pop that looks like a mixed drink and no one should notice. Plus you will have the added bonus of not being hung over in the morning. And you will remember what happened on this special night.

How do you generally feel after a night of drinking? Wake up bright-eyed and ready to go? Able to enjoy the gifts of the next day fully? How do you feel after a night of taking Zoloft? Pick which drug you prefer - a prescribed anit-anxiety, or an unsubcribed depressant.

Take it in the morning.
No big deal. People say don't drink because alcohol is a CNS depressant. But on your Bachelorette party? Go nuts.

Don't combine this drug with alcohol. If your going to drink skip your dosage. If your taking Zoloft for depression remember that alcohol is a depressant so watch yourself.

Definitely do not drink with Zoloft. You will get sick. Congrats on the wedding!

If you have to take your Zoloft then I wouldn`t drink. You can still have a good time without it.
