I know this is a stolen answer, but it's because God loves us and wants us to be happy.
Not drunk and crazy, mind you. But happy. A few beers is a GOOD thing. A few beers too many is bad.
If you want a technical answer, you will have to e-mail me. I can't go into the chemical state of the brain and body after imbibing alcohol here without typing until tomorrow! Ciao!

It's just a perfectly balanced beverage - hops for bitterness, malt for sweetness, bubbles for a tingle, and its cool and refreshing. It's got alcohol for a buzz, but the level is reasonable, so it takes longer to get unpleasantly stupid drunk (as compared to say, wine or hard liquor). It's boiled during preparation, so you can make it even if your water is contaminated. And the hops will keep it reasonably safe to drink for quite some time - if you can keep it around that long! Some even say barley malt for beer is the reason mankind started farming! Humans and beer have grown up together, and we belong together!

actually, its the alcohol, but i wanted to make a point at how not everybody likes beer, it just depends on your likings. for example, i know people who hate beer but love cider, and others the same reversed. some people dont like chocolate, some people dont like fruitcake, som e people dont like gherkins, alot of people dont like sprouts, and the list goes on. i wont spam the answers list by continuing.

I have no idea. But it has to be the best taste in the world. Even if there was no alcohol in it but it tasted the same I would still love it.
