about the destruction of giant Buddha statues in Afghanistan. If yes, did you like it...if no, would you want to?

it happened March 2001... the Taliban blew them up, I hear there's plans to rebuild them, but that orginal wonder has already been destroyed...very sad I say

I know of this, and when it happened I was very pained. I am Buddhist and I said--They may destroy these statues but they won't take the precepts of Buddha out of people's hearts.
I watched the film. It had so many elements in it beyond the destruction of the giant Buddhas. It was a very interesting film. The Afghans heritage was under attack by the Taliban. Sad...

ya the Muslims destroyed them...just like they kill Christians in muslim countries and burn churches...

never heard of it ... it would break my heart to see anything destroyed like that
