Make the best of a bad situation. Call it a lesson you needed to learn.

Welcome to life. There is nothing you can do about it except that you can try to change what might happen in the future and what you don't like. And I mean actively try to change it. Prayer won't work.

Life seldom works out the way people imagined would happen. That's the way life is.

Heck, if you'd asked me when I was 17 what I'd be doing now, I'd have told you I'd be on a paleontology dig in the sahara desert. And that I wouldn't be married. And kids would never have been a possibility.

I'm 30 now, I'm working in a hotel at the front desk, and I just recently got married (already divorced once to another arrogant jerk. Stupid me for marrying him in the first place) to the love of my life and, though we don't have kids, it wouldn't be the end of the world if it happened.

Yes, isn't life great? It seldom happens as you envisioned it.

Rework the original plan or make an entirely new one. Its never too late to take a new direction. Just be sure to analyze where things went wrong with the old one to avoid the same mistakes. Best wishes.

You get your head down, grit your teeth and carry on. Life can be tough and brutal sometimes but a positive mental attitude is always the key to overcoming any hardship.

Move on and figure out what works best for me. Nothing in life ever goes exactly the way we want it. We adapt and overcome or give up. I prefer to adapt and overcome.

That's called the college of hard knocks -- experience.
You undo what can be undone,
repair what can be fixed,
and live with what you have too,
learning and living without making the same mistake again.
That's all you can do.
