throw in a little water. You could use chicken stock if you like. but you dont need much because chickens create their own juices as they cook. you could throw some potatoes in. potatoes thicken up the soup or gravy(depends on what you are making)

Better put that chicken in some water, or broth! I hope you know that dude. The water should cover the bird plus about 1/4 inch for what will condense on the lid.
If you knew you had to use some liquid in the crock, then yes, you can just put that puppy in plain as day. I do that when whole chickens are on sale down here, then pick the meat to use later. No need for veg or anything fancy unless you are going to make a meal of the chicken.

Put it in with about a cup of water, some onions, a few chopped up carrots, salt and pepper and a few potatoes. Just know that the skin wont be browned if you do this but the chicken will be fine. Cook it on low if you can for about 6 hrs or so.

Water (I fill to 2/3), add seasoning and potatoes, carrots, celery, set on low, let cook for 6-8 hours, then serve. Keep in mind the meat will be falling off the bone at this point. Its not like serving roasted chicken.

Hi, You will need some liquid added to the crock pot, but yes it will cook well. It will taste much better if you add some seasonings, vegetables, onions or garlic, etc. You can use your imagination as to what to add as just about anything is good with chicken. Yummmmmmm!

You'll need to put liquid in there too, otherwise you'll just scorch the bottom and the top will still be raw. The chicken will need to be at least half-submerged, preferably more, and I'd use chicken broth rather than water to really make it tasty.

add water and veggies (carrots, celery, onions) and some parsley stems. after a few hours you'll have a very meaty chicken soup, season to taste. the only thing is you'll have to remove the bones which won't be to hard because the meat will fall right off of it.and skim the fat off the top

I think it would be just as easy and safer to throw that in a pan in the oven at 350 for about an hour and 40
