s Christians, we are commanded by the Bible in the great commission that Jesus gave us to spread the Good News of the Bible throughout all the world. Besides this mandate, Jesus is our first love! The Bible tells us to hold on to our first love, Christ Jesus. Have you ever had a first love in the natural sense? That first true boy friend? Oh, how much in love were you and just what would you not do for Him! Just how hard was it to keep from thinking about him, speaking about him to everyone. Remember the incredible joy in your heart. Well, this is just an inkling of what Christians feel for Christ. And how He woos us to Him, WOW! Have you ever wondered just how someone how that you don't have this type of relationship? Can you how see how apparent your spiritual condition is? Tell God you want to know Him. Ask Him to show you that He is real
and be prepared for the journey of your life through, Jesus Christ your Savior. Amazing things await you when you accept Him. The Bible says that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Is it any wonder that that's all Christians want to talk about?

(Just a comment about your avator's name. Do you really know just what it truly means? Abraxas was an evil stone that had an engraving on it that conjured up 365 more evil spirits.)

Religion is a bad word. I wish everyone would quit using that word. I have a relationship with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I don't have a religion tho. I tell people about the Truth, The Life and The Way. because I try to help them understand that we are spirit and need God. He is LOVE and loves us. He wants us blessed but without Him we are cursed. Everyone will see Him. His spirit better be in you or He will not know you. He only knows His own Spirit.

As Christians, it is our responsibility to spread the Word. I cannot speak for other religions. But I do wish that people would recognize the difference between spreading the Word and shoving it down people's throats.

I think humanity has a innate instinct to help. We want to help others - it is hard for us to witness the suffering of others. We try to help, often times, with the tools we use to help ourselves in such situations - and often times those tools are faith or spirit based. In that context, yes - people who spread their religion in that way believe they are doing the most important work imaginable: easing human suffering.

There are, however, those who have learned of the power they can weild by converting others to their beliefs (and collecting their donations). These are the people to be avoided (as well as those brainwashed by them.)

Peace!

A lot of people spread their religion because their religion tells them to do so. Or they believe that it is best for people to be in their religion becuase that is the only way for them to get to heaven.

No.

Have you ever heard of "Plato's Cave?" If not, look it up. You might see the symbolism. If not, I'll put it another way--

Suppose you made some life-altering discovery that gave your life purpose. Suppose you made some sort of realization about truth, life, or death. Wouldn't you want to share that realization with others?

Regardless of a person's ideas, beliefs, or religious inclinations, everyone has ideas that they think are right. You do. I do. We all do. If we all have strongly held beliefs (whatever those beliefs may be), of course we're going to want to persuade others to share those beliefs. It's just a matter of trying to share truths or ideas that we have discovered with others.

Depends on the person...most people want other people to know about their "God", and maybe religion is something they are passionate about. So that makes them want to tell people about it. If people didn't say anything about religion or talked about God to other people, how would they know?

Mosty it's because they know religion is dying out and they know they must spread it to keep up the numbers and the source of income. But most people do it because they have been told to by the other people in scenario 1. Say no to jesus

Same way atheism tries to spread their beliefs by promoting what they believe as important.

The question of "why are we here" has not been anwered, but if you devote your life to a magician, then you feel you are doing something, so ... yes.

You could also devote yourself to helping the world without a Jesus slant, but you wouldn't have robed pedophiles encourraging you
