They are good.
I prefer LH or BA.

I have flown with Air Canada on a couple of occasions and had pleasurable experiences both times. You are right though, they are expensive.

Yes. I took the exact same flight. It is pure bliss. I couldn't touch the seat in front with my legs stretched out. The food was delicious. There were drinks and snacks whenever you wanted them. And halfway through the flight they offered us freshly baked cookies (you could smell them being cooked) and ice cream.
It's the only flight I've been on where I couldn't wait for the return journey!

I flew from Toronto to Paris, return. They provided excellent service on both flights. You should enjoy your flight. Their seats are very comfortable and I slept most of the way over.

My husband works for AirCanada, and we fly AirCanada all the time. They have wonderful service. Who knows my husband may be one of the ground crew to taxi in your flight or unload your baggage?....

Have a nice trip!
