I am having a hard time deciding. My hair is in a chin length pixie cut. My natural color is an ugly dirtly brownish blonde. Right now I have my hair a bright light blonde. I like the brightness it gives me. It is soo hard to keep up with the roots, it turns brassy, and I have light skin so it kinda washes me out. In the past I have had my hair in a reddish brown and it looked good. It fadded a lot quicker even with the special shampoos. Last time I had it like that I was tan but I am not now so I dont know if it will make me look like a ghost. If I later decide to go blonde again it is hard to lift the darkness in it. I just dont know what to do. Please help!

It depends on what you're comfortable with. Some colors may wash you out. My best suggestion for you is that if you decide to do it yourself make sure you use a good dye like "Clairol". My friends and I all used the $8 semi-permenant dye (I went from brown to black, my other two friends went from brown to reddish brown) and we all really loved it.
