Hello secular.. :)
No, they are wrong...
My daughter suffered a brain injury, 8 broken ribs, a punctured lung and her liver was cut in half..She was in a coma for 8 days..The doctors had wanted me to remove her from life support, but I told them that the Lord will bring her back.. :)
When she came out of her coma, her doctors wanted to see where they had to repair her liver, so she had another cat scan done (the first one showed her liver was cut in half)..to the doctors surprise, her liver had been completely healed, the only thing was a scar, where her liver had been healed..Praise the Lord..Glory be to God in the Highest..Amen!!
She is 98% healed..she only suffers from her balance every now and then..
You can believe in what the skeptics say, if you want to, (that is your choice) but I thank God, that I trusted Him..or my precious daughter would have been taken off of her life support and not been given the chance to see her little children grow up..
In Jesus Most Precious Name...
With Love..In Christ.. :)

So now, you are God? How do you KNOW that miracles do not happen today?
Of course, by your definition, you have effectively excluded all miracles!! "Supernatural occurrence" would be a better definition.
According to your definition, the following would not be counted as a miracle. According to mine, it would.
Three medical biopsies confirmed that she had cancer of the colon. She was taken to a seance. A being appeared. Those present saw his hand disappeared in her abdomen and soon reappeared with part of the colon, which was placed on a side table. The being disappeared. Upon examination of the patient the following day, doctors found that the surgery was performed by a process unknown to modern medical science, and the patient was completely healed. This can be substantiated by the doctors, the medical reports, and six witnesses.
Incidentally, miracles do not prove that God exist, or that it was done through the power of God. It does prove that the supernatural exists.

Jesus performed miracles to show proof of His Sonship in the Father and gave the power to the Apostles to work miracles also, and this was to get the young church going, we have built up the faith in these times and so they should not be imperative, having said that,if a miracle is needed by the world then God will as proven work such a miracle, but He does not pull rabbits out of the hat for everyones amusement.
if you would like to seriously study a modern day bone fide miracle then check out the `miracle of the Sun at Fatima in 1917`
and see how that fits.

apparently the original converts to xianity , including the Apostles needed miracles to convince them....they were reluctant to believe on faith alone.
It's interesting that 2000 years later, the message now is "Trust me...he's the real deal, you'll just have to take my word for it".
Xians will now tell you there are miracles every day...someone's cousin had cancer that cleared up, or someones friend of a friend got some money at the right time. Ya, right....anecdotal "evidence" is what maintains the fraud of so call alternative medicine quackery too.

Miracles were used in the beginning to help establish the church and approve Gods message by being be a sign to new believers as well as a sign against unbelievers. Miracles are still done by God today but only for the edification of believers. (not grand signs to unbelievers) The reason you dont see any is because theyre done in context of a persons faith for Christians only.
Unbelievers always feel like they need a miraculous sign in order to follow God but following God doesnt come from something you see with your eyes. Following God comes from a response to God in your heart, then you see miracles if you need to. Many people in the Bible saw miracles and it did not lead to faith. The only thing that leads to faith is trust and a good heart toward God.

You are right. We deserve miracles too if we are to be condemned to hell for not believing. The diciples "got" to "see" "miracles". Why shouldn't we all?
Miracles are things that can not be explained by the laws of nature.
If you can control nature in a way theat goes beyong our understanding, that is no miracle either.
If I used a amagnet to make things move before you knew how a magent worked you'd think I was magic. Later histiry could explain the "miracle" through the laws of nature.

Who says there are no miracles these days? If a child came to you and said, I just witnessed a miricle, that little squirrle almost got hit by that car, would you argue with the child? maybe that squirrle was saved because of the effects it could have had on that child if it had been hit. Adults see miricles every day. but we are to skepitcal and ready to find other answers to what is right before us

Miracles happen everyday.
A child being born, is a miracle in itself.
I have had several miracles happen in my life and I know of lots that have happened in other peoples lives. They are too numerous to tell, but I know of these.
And if you really look back and consentrate, then you will realize that there have been miracles in your life, too. It's just that you don't see them as miracles, you see them as the doctors cured so and so and such.

Well....you could consider some of the people who go through things that would normally kill them and live a miracle.

To base your assumption on the lack of " A Miracle " builds a pretty weak argument.
