it's funny you should ask considering the fact that i had a pet that passed away a year ago ( a year exactly on november 18th ). at first i felt pretty damn miserable for many weeks but eventually i started thinking of happy thing and eventually i got over it. so pretty much all you have to do is just remember the good times that you had with that family member and keep on doing what you been doing because just dwelling on the death will make you feel even worse and you'll never get over it.

Learn sign language! Or do you mean death? I wasn't trying to be funny I really don't know which you meant. If you meant death it will take time. also there are groups on grief and loss look in the phone book or call your local hospital about groups for grief. If some one is deaf there are books to buy to teach yourself sign language or you can go to night school at a Jr. Collage.

Getting over death will take some time. Do not try and ignore your emotions. Cry if you want to or do whatever you need to do to overcome your emotions.I found thinking about the person and the good times only made me more sad to I tried to keep myself busy as much as possible.
