When all they can do is answer unproductively "there is no God"
They look lost without an intelligent answer.
Maybe Yahoo should make an atheism and non religion catagory so they can all agree with themselves in there leaving serious discussion in here for people who have beliefs unhindered by nonsensical answers.

This maybe an unpopular question by some especially the athiests but it brings their true intentions out of the woodwork.

This has been a very productive answer for me. The "quick got to retort" ranters are fading and serious discussion is forming.

maybe they protest so much because secretly (maybe even they don't know) they really want to know God. They are drawn to what they do not understand. God is trying to reach them in any manner.....even in yahoo. They can't help but look. I say they need to be allowed in here no matter. Jesus came to save sinners....right?

1 Just so people like you can ask this question 300 times a day
2 We usually patiently explain in great detail WHY there is no god, and it's not unproductive if even one fence-sitter abandons this dangerous delusion of religion. (ANY religion, I'm not picking on xians)
3 The true "lost" are the believers...wasted lives, and wasted emotions on a non-existent deity (or NED)
4 Intelligent and thoughtful answers are mostly provided by the atheists in the room. The believers tend to spout hate-filled, jingoistic, demonizing rants in between quoting scripture as "proof". NewsFlash...I don't believe in your god, and I don't believe in your bible, so you may as well quote lines from Mother Goose....at least that would be entertaining and better written.
5 None of us are interested in "atheist only" categories...what would we talk about? How boring "preaching" to the converted all the time, though that is what believers seem to want...the group dynamic that if you all say red is blue, it must be true. The interesting rooms are where there is debate and strong points of view. There are lots of "serious discussions" in this room, unfortunately, not usuallly inspired by such overdone insipid questions like yours
6 It is the believers who embrace and own the nonsensical answers, as you are the ones who believe in nonsense.
EDIT
"takes one to know one" wow...you got me with that erudite bit of faultless logic...I concede that god exists...................
....................NOT!

Why? So we are not here to tell you what we think? That looks pretty much like censorship to me, sir. Is that what you want? Or is it that you don't want to hear it, because you feel we're somehow right? Too bad if it bothers you, but 'there is no god' IS a position about religions, too. We ARE discussing religions, to say they are fake.
EDIT: If you care to look at my other answers, you will easily notice what my intentions are. I intend to give this forum a different colour, so it's not ONLY painted with the colours of religion. I am here to say what I believe, and to let people know that there are other views, so that they are free to decide whether they want to go on believing or not. That is my intention, and I have never felt the need to hide it.

I posted a thing last night that said, "Some Christians believe that human beings and dinosaurs co-existed, but obviously that is totally false." I got a couple "thumbs down" and my answer was followed by all these people spreading outright lies like "There is no proof that dinosaurs existed millions of years ago." If theists are going to try and spread total misinformation in order to support their religious claims, then for the sake of this forum, you NEED to hear the opposing side -- it wouldn't be right if you didn't... especially in that situation.

Seriously, why do you want atheists out of here? So you guys can all sit around and agree that Noah's Ark is a real historical event without anyone around to say "Hey, wait a minute, no it's not"? So you guys can all sit around and agree that no one has ever proved evolution without anyone around to say "Hey, wait a minute, yes they have"? So you guys can all sit around and agree that there is more historical evidence for Christ than there is for Caesar without anyone around to say "Wait a minute, actually the historical evidence for Christ is almost nonexistent"?

Log in and look at the front page. Religion & Spirituality--note that it does NOT say Christian--questions show up right alongside all the others; same as the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered questions. This is not your special little world where you can discuss objectionable beliefs without criticism--that's church. You're in the light of day here and reasonable people are going to criticize you.
If your beliefs can withstand critical examination, then you have nothing to fear.

and if the athiest were not here
we would be asking other religious people questions about religious that we do not want to belong to anyway ...
there would be arguing just among the religious as each thinks they are right
where would the learning be ... what could we learn without opposition to our belief in God
nooo leave the atheists here
