Electrical wiring in the brain. We are wired to protect you. To love you. To care about you. Getting attached, and feeling things for you comes with the wiring. Sorry if it pisses you off.

Here's the real deal. With all men, especially younger ones.
Men have sex drive. Now obviously women do too, but in our culture, men seem to be a little more free to express it (again especially younger ones).
When a man meets a woman, it is not always the first thing to go through his mind. But sooner or later, he's contemplating whether or not he would like to "be with" her.
I am 40 years old, and I have met A LOT of women over the years. Other than my mom, and sisters, there are not too many women that I have met that I have not at least though about in that way.
I realize that this might be frustrating to you at times. Just know that it is frustrating for us too. Not necessarily that women won't give in to our needs all the time, but that those friendly feelings sometimes change into romantic ones. It's frustrating because we don't want to mess up the relationship.
So, please, be patient with us. You certainly need to tell us what you want from the relationship (make sure to update us if that changes). And we both need to respect it. And if that is not possible, then we need to go our separate ways.
It is probably one of the toughest things in the world for a man and a woman to have a simple friendship. See I hate to be the person to tell you this, but the love that we see from Holywood does not really exist. That head over heels stuff is really just hormones in our bodies telling us to make babies. Sooner or later it wears off. So here's my advice to you about friendship and the opposite sex: The best mate that you could hope to find is someone that can be your best friend. Think of your best girlfriend, the things you talk about, the trust, the interdependence, the things you share with each other, and so on. Now imagine that with a man. The sex is just icing on the cake.
Good luck with your friendships. Maybe you'll find one you can marry!

Usually when they are just friends with the girl, they like the girl more than a friend but are too afraid to tell her.

I find it hard to be friends with a guy, share common interest and really connect and just be friends? I couldn't do it. That's why I don't really talk to any other guys but my boyfriend. It's not just guys, vice versa too.

We have no problem with being friends with a girl as long as we don't have feelings for her and aren't attracted to her. It's like being told to have a food fight while you're starving!

It is the nature of the beast..
Guys don't want to be friends with girls without sex being included.
It is the way guys brains are built...

i don't know if this answer would help but from my personal experience, guys usually don't want girls for friends. they usually want them for what they can get. if girls just want to be friends then they are pretty much no use to the guy. of course that scenario does not apply to every guy.

they do? I'm not aware of that. But maybe it's because they're not sure what the girl wants so they assume the next best thing.
