Well love the additude! Go get every book on dog breeding outta you public libary or buy a couple at the bookstore. Your at square one & having problems and dont have the foggiest notion. what are you gonna do later when the problems can be fatal?
THis is a more common problem with an immature male so I guess Id ask his age, but since the cure for that is to wait to breed I guess you wouldnt like that answer hugh?

You're right. There are "to" many stupid people out there. You've got it twisted on who they are though. One example of a stupid person would be someone who can't properly differentiate the words "to" and "too." Another would be someone who is breeding solely for monetary purposes and not for a love of the breed, or even a love for dogs. Yet another example may be someone who can't do simple research on the Internet for an answer to this "problem."

" there are to many stupid people like you that "

LOL!!! Well YOU are the one that can't figure out how to get your dogs to breed!

Maybe if you do not know the basics you shouldn't be breeding, it does get much harder as THIS is the EASY part!

Maybe next time you ask for advice you shouldn't insult everyone when writing your question. You might get more help by being nice.

Make sure they're mature enough, on heat and (when the time comes) in a comfortable environment. Virgin dogs of both sexes can show a lot of nervousness (particularly when the mate is also a virgin). Breeders tend to start a virgin stud male on an experienced female, and vice versa.

Bear in mind that you can't force anything. If they're ready and willing, though, nature will find a way ;)

She mau not be ready to accept him yet. The female will be ready to breed about 10 days after her heat cycle started. They will figure it all out. How old are the dogs? If the female is less than 18 mo, you need to wait about breeding her.

He might not be old enough. And she would need to be in heat. I hope you have the money for vet bills and stuff. Breeding is a big responsibility.

That's a great question i would like to know that one too, i just tryed to breed my virgin cocker with a male virgin it looked like he knew what he was doing, BUT i don't think he got in for long enough they didn't tie together or anything.
Good luck on that answer and good for you on your question i feel the same way you do, i just hope you will make sure they have good homes or be prepared to take back the puppies if things don't work out, that's what I'm going to do anyways.

So good luck with that i now know breeding is tougher then i thought I'm going to cross my finger's and hope she's pregnant.

Well you need to wait for the female to go into "heat", then you may need to stimulate the male (using your hand) and guide him in to the right spot. Don't get bit by the female during this attempt. He may not need any help after smelling her when she is ready. You mwill need to cofine her because any strays in your area will be drawn to her.

You might have to help him. Make sure she's in heat.
