anyone else find the people that use yahoo anwers as a platform to promote their religion (or lack there of) really annoying?

They ask questions about the existence of God and the meaning of life just to piss off other people with conflicting beliefs?

first of all, the yahoo anwers page picked this category automatically so I did not mean to post it under "religion and spirituality"

and I did not mean that people who do this are right or wrong for voicing an opinion. Its just the questions where somone is obviously trying to upset those with different beliefs that annoy me.

Im sorry if I offened anybody, it wasnt my intention

FREEDOM OF SPEECH. HOW COULD ANYONE BE OFFENDED BY THAT? I'M A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN AND AND I LOOK FOR QUESTIONS IN THIS ARENA. NOT TO ARGUE, BUT TO EXPRESS MY OPINIONS WITH LOVE AND COMPASSION. THIS IS OUR TEMPORARY LIFE. AFTER THIS ITS HEAVEN OR HELL. IS JESUS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOUR?
I'LL PRAY FOR YOU , I PROMISE.
GOD BLESS

A Jewish philosopher once said that only prophets and philosophers can understand god, the rest are just worshiping an extension of themselves. For many people their beliefs are very personal and represent who they are. That's why people are so passionate about their beliefs. Although it is annoying they're just fighting for the world that they created for themselves. Its not their fault and sometimes they don't mean to piss people off. Once they open their eyes to the truth and realize that we are all just trying to survive in our own way, they stop being pushy.

Given the opportunity, most "believers" will use any platform to advance what they perceive to be their "cause"?

But, I'm not annoyed by it. I just go on to the next question.

I like it because I get to see a variety of answers and see how others feel about certain things. I think it is interesting and a bunch of people must agree with me because there are 65 million questions on answers.

I'm actually curious when i ask questions---I'm not offended by people with conflicting beliefs, i actually feel honored that someone would share their true beliefs with me, a total stranger--I really don't know anyone who does not share the majority of my beliefs, this is helpful and insightful for me--I also won't answer if I some how feel insulted

Not me, I don't. I find it annoying when they use the world, the state institutions, the public media, social values, etc., to impose a private religious perspective. But in here, we're only individuals discussing views. No one is going to make a great difference in favour or against any religion by our posts here.

I LOVE honest questons, even though they are rare. But some of the questions intended to be irritating are actually rather inspiring. I just get irritated when they ask the same stupid old chestnut over and over and over again. Be as challenging as you like. But DO NOT BE BORING!

Or hateful.

If you don't want to see people discussing there religion i suggest you don't come to this section of the site or don't read or answer there questions...simple. I don't ask anyone questions and I'm a Muslim. I have no interest in knowing what others think of my religion.

Few people here are actually seeking direction. For all the rest, including me, this is just for fun, and obviously our questions are going to center around our own beliefs.

Some people do this, yes, but others are truly searching....I just keep answering the questions I feel connected to and leave it at that....

Hello Kimberly P.. :)

No..I enjoy sharing the Gospel of Christ, with all I meet and share His Love with All.. :)

I cannot understand why one would be angry if they do not believe..I do not get angry at those that make fun of me or the Lord..

For they have same right as I, to voice their opinions and or beliefs..

In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ.. :)
