You make some interesting assumptions about the reasons people ask medical questions on YA.
I tell people to ask their doctor because some questions have content that really should only be answered by a doctor.
I also tell people to ask their doctor because I'm in healthcare and I don't want the liability of being the final answer with only the information available in the question.

If someone has a serious problem that advice givers can not fix over the Internet, then yes the best advice they can give is for that person to go to a doctor. Someone could possibly have a life threatening ailment. How are we supposed to fix it? Tell them to drink carrot juice and get plenty of rest. Those who post such questions do not want to think their problem is serious enough to go to a doctor, or they are embarrassed about it.

No, it isn't a dumb response.
Some questions present a series of syptoms that could be several illnesses or could be life-threatening. If I know that, but I, myself, am only a bookkeeper, I am ethically impelling to urge the questioned to see the expert.
Yes, if they don't have the money, I'm telling them to stand in line for hours at the hospital or the free clinic instead of ignoring it. Yes, I'm telling them to steal money in order to see a doctor because it's serious.

many of the time, that's a query a pair of minor concern. Like, "i've got had a chilly for almost 2 weeks now, blah blah blah......." I provide suggestion, and then say, "once you're somewhat in contact, bypass see a doctor". with the aid of fact it is is genuine, we, the human beings, can not pinpoint somebody else's well being subject concerns. we could desire to, and the only concern that separates us from certainly medical doctors is, we can't write them a prescription! and of direction, the "undemanding" 2 factors for answering a query.

I think you are the one having problems, at least they are fair and feel they wont help you basing on assumptions sometimes you have to leave it to the knowledgeable. And health issues are based on somebody's life or death, in life never fiddle with somebody's health.Life comes but once. Such answers are very very brilliant.
