I don't know where you went to have it pierced but using a nosestud in a new piercing isn't logical to me. I do have my nose pierced. It was my first other than lobe piercing when I was 17 and I did everything wrong. I didn't do any research and thought paying $5 and having it pierced with a gun was awesome! I'm lucky the piercing didn't get infected and turned out alright.
From what I know now and from my experiences with other piercings (I've had many but currently have 10) every time I've had something pierced at a reputable shop and with a professional piercer they've always used larger jewelry that allows for the swelling so "sinking" doesn't happen and the piercing has enough room to breathe and heal properly.
I am very against those nosestuds. I have had my nose pierced for 8 years now and will not put anything other than a nose screw into it simply because of the pain of trying to push in/take out one of those nose studs. Believe me, I've tried them and for a new piercing having to leave it for so long you will have trouble changing it and it will be painful.
For short periods of time they are fine but what starts to happen is the hole fills in around the post of the stud. With these studs each end is larger than the middle to hold it in place so when you want to change it after having it in for some time you are now trying to pull it out of a smaller hole than when you put it in. OUCH! There have been people who have had to have these studs actually cut from their nose because it was just too painful trying to pull it through themselves. Doing this is also causing a new wound and more trauma to your nostril and you will find your nose is spending more time trying to heal rather than being healed.
If your piercing wasn't professionaly done please go see a pro and ask if it's possible to have it changed to a nose screw.

It sounds like maybe your jewlery is too small? I just got mine done, and I wanted a tiny silver dot, but they made me use a larger one for the piercing and said I could come back in a couple months to change it. So I wonder if yours is just too small to have been pierced with. Also, the back of the jewlery, the part that actually goes in my nose is really really long. They said that was to accomodate for swelling. I mean, if I turn it towards the front, it hangs way out of my nose.
I'm also suspicous about this cleaning solution. The only people I've ever seen offer a solution are the people at the mall, who use the gun to pierce. You should be using a very mild soap to wash with your shower, and then the sea soaks at the other end of the day.
If they used good jewlery, implant grade stainless steel or titanium, there's no risk of it becoming inbedded. If it's cheap jewlery, there's a definite risk.
You need to go back to the place where you got it pierced. This doesn't sound right.

They should have put a bigger stud in it. The stud should never get "swallowed up" or look like its going in to the piercing. This could mean that it will get embedded if you are not careful and it also can mean that your body will reject the piercing quicker.
My advice would be to go to another place and ask them. I think you will find they will change the stud. This will help the swelling go down, as it will have room to swell and go back down without something getting stuck in it and irritating the piercing.
Most tattoo parlours do piercings and they are the best place to go to. Beauty parlours arent a good place to go for any piercings.

It sounds like perhaps your jewlery is only too small? I only have been given mine carried out, and that i wanted a tiny silver dot, yet they made me use a greater one for the piercing and mentioned i'd desire to come back in a pair months to alter it. So i contemplate whether yours is only too small to have been pierced with. additionally, the back of the jewlery, the area that truthfully is going in my nostril is quite incredibly long. If this is low-priced jewlery, there's a diverse threat. you're able to desire to pass back to the region the place you get carry of it pierced. this does not sound good.

your nose should not be swallowing the piercing this way. the jewelry you're wearing must not be long enough to accomidate for your swelling. i suggest that you visit your piercer and ask them to change the jewelry for you until you are fully healed. i would suggest trying a cbr instead of a stud. it could be much more comfortable.
i'm assuming that you did not let someone pierce you with a piercing gun. but if you did, i can just about guarantee that the jewelry you have is inappropriate for the piercing. if this is the case, you definitely need to visit a reputable piercer and let them change your jewelry.

don't use cleaning solution!!! only use iodised salt in warm water and constantly clean it - use a cotton bud and cotton wool balls -its sounds like a major process - but it is the only way it will heal!! Make sure you twist it constantly whilst you are cleaning it and also make sure the stud is either sterling silver or surgical steel!!! As long as your after care is good - you and your piercing will have a fab time together !!!
PS. always remember iodised salt and warm water is the best thing you can use for any body piercings no matter where they might be!!!

there's no danger of it getting embedded, provided you keep pushing it up like you say. Just don't remove it or it'll heal up and you'll need to get it done again.
Patience! the swelling will go down in no time, does the same for any piercing.

you should not have the backing of the stud in. you'll have a greater chance of losing the stud but less chance of having it sink into the hole.i had it happen. it wasnt fun. i had to take it out for a couole hours and it almost closed up.

Don't wear your nose stud for a few days until the swelling is gone. And, try getting a nose stud that has a bigger stopper or a sphere-like stopper which is safer.
