There are no results for hysterectamies. It's just an infection of some sort which occurs in the vagina and means that most women have to have a operation preformed on them called a hysterectomy which normally involves the surgical removal of the uterus (sometimes not all of it, only partial)

Visit the sites in the sources below because there is plenty of information on there. Although, it seems to be hard to find out what it actually is and how it's caused. Only about the operation preformed. Sorry that i couldn't help much but why not ask your mum? if she has it the surely she knows?

A hysterectomy is the surgical removal of the uterus, usually done by a gynecologist. Hysterectomy may be total (removing the body and cervix of the uterus) or partial (also called supra-cervical). In many cases, surgical removal of the ovaries (oophorectomy) is performed concurrent with a hysterectomy. The surgery is then called "total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy" (sometimes abbreviated TAH-BSO). However, the term "hysterectomy" is often used colloquially yet incorrectly to refer to removal of any parts of the female reproductive system.

Surgical removal of the uterus. It is done either vaginal or abdominal. A total hysterectomy involves removal of the ovaries as well as the uterus. A partial hysterectomy involves just the uterus

Your Mom will be fine. She didn't lose any parts that will affect her health. They removed the uterus (which holds babies). and maybe her ovaries, which made the eggs that helped make you!
She's going to be just fine.
