I saw a website about this watchman, and it was stated there that he is a disfellowshipped JW.

There are many books about Watchmen. There are several books by a Chinese prophet called "Watchman Nee".
According to the teaching I have received, a "watchman" is one who looks out for the spiritual welfare of a nation or people group. The term and idea started with the Israeli prophets, in ancient times. In the present time period, many faithful people of God from all nations are watching "the signs of the times", and praying accordingly. They not only pray for the protection of their families and churches, but are commanded by God to pray for Israel.
P.S. I am not a "Jehovah's Witness", just a Christian, and a servant of "The Most High God".
