Therapy can help. Most people I know are afraid of commitment. There are too many examples of broken relationships around any given person to have any kind of confidence in committing. In this day and age I think the fear of commitment is actually healthy.

I've been that way for ever. It's just a matter of finding the person you can tolerate and a person willing to compromise and who understands that 90% of the time you wont like each other at first. It gets a heck of a lot better. Especially when you see the crap that everybody else goes through.Besides the single scene will get boring anyway.

I'm not afraid of commitment. Life is short so the sooner you find someone the longer you can spend time and be happy with your life.

Everyone to a degree I think. But to pass up someone you would even think to commit to tells me that the person has opened your eyes in such a nice way. And if they turn out to not be acceptable in your eyes then you deal with it. Always honor yourself.

Yep there is counseling, for some reason something happned to you that has made you build this wall up around you so that noone can get close to you, and you need to learn to tear that wall down and let someone into your life that will be able to love you.
