Hey ive been using proactiv solution for about 2.5 months...and i was very happy with it, it makes my skin so soft..but now it has made certain areas of my face (cheeks, forehead mainly) flaky and dry ( feels like i have a facial mask on it when i dont) and it seems like i am getting a lot of little white pimples on my forehead now. Am i doing something wrong? what can i do to prevent/help this? I have to wear more makeup than ever now, and it looks awful and uneven when i do wear make up. help?!?!

You should stop using Proactive it makes most skin types do that. I will tell you to use a different brand not Aveda try Murad you can order it on-line go to the website get the acne line. Your should make a facial appointment with an aesthetician or dermatologist, understand what is going on with your skin.

it somewhat works for a majority of the persons. some important issues, nonetheless, is that when you supply up using it, your dermis oftentimes is going lower back to the way it replaced into before. it somewhat is a sort of things which you consistently would desire to apply; it is not rather well worth the attempt. i'd propose which you seem up a product stated as zits loose. it isn't the ultimate zits fighter obtainable, regardless of the undeniable fact that it is the ultimate deal for it is value. It does certainly paintings extra useful than ProActiv and it is extra decrease priced. carry out a little extra study on that. stable success.

ive never used proactiv but ill tell you what works for me.
i use all neutrogena products.
a gentle cleanser in the morning. then the oil free daily scrub. then i put on their healthy skin clear skin cream moisturizer. it contains salicylic acid. i love their makup too. most of it is oil free and nonacnegenic.
at night i use the daily cleanser/mask.its got benzoyl peroxide in it. its extremely intense and i wouldn't recommend using it as a mask if you have sensitive skin. then the moisturizer. if i have any breakouts i use that gel stuff that clears it by the next day. you can mix and match their products for what your needs are. i love all of their stuff. and it's much cheaper than poactiv. just a thought. hope it helps a little!!

hi,
ive actually been using proactive for about a year now and to tell you the truth, i dont think its all its cracked up to be. i still break out and as far as "white heads", its never cleared mine up. it will dry out your acne though, which is why your skin feels flaky and dry. you may just want to try using less of it or try something else all together. i know the commercials claim to prevent breakouts but if it actually prevented breakouts, you wouldnt need to keep buying it. good luck hun

I use proactive to and my face also gets dry at times. What works for me is putting lotion on my face after I finish using it. I've been doin it for about a week now and my face hasn't been overly oily or dry.

I also use the neutrogena blackhead eliminating scrub and the foaming face wash daily. they work well and are not drying. Good luck!

I would call the hotline and ask them what they think you should do. They may suggest laying off using it for a while.
