The luggage weight limits depend on each airline, most I have been with have been 15kg or 20kg. So check on your ticket or with the airline you are travelling with.
Most airlines now only allow the luggage weight per person and not as a total for the whole group.
One person can check-in 2 suitcases (or more), as long as you are not over the weight limit you will not be charged.
(You can have more than the weight limit but will be charged and it's about £6 per/kg that you are over!!!)

Limits vary according to the flight operator, standard of travel and whether you all book in together.
Generally I find the more expensive your ticket, the higher your luggage allowance. I.e fly first class, and you do not need to worry! Fly budget airlines and weigh everything!

most airlines are 20kg.
If there are 3 in your party, hand all documents in together and you luggage allowance will be 60kg.
They ask how many cases, and tell you to put heaviest case on first
You can have more than 1 case each as long as you dont go over your allowance..

Weight limits vary from airline to airline so it would be best to call them and check.

The easiest way is to check your ticket. It should tell you what is your allowance even if it's a e-ticket.
