My Fiance is in the Army so he is not here to help out with all the wedding planning and me and him dont get to talk much so it makes things so hard... I have been so depressed and im just ready for my big day to get here! Has any one else been through something like this...is it normal? I could use some helpful ways to just relax and not be so stressed out and depressed!!

First take a really deep breath & let it out slowly. Do it a couple of times. It will help the depression.

Okay. Now, there are many brides who are alone planning the wedding and their fiances are in the next room! At least you have an excuse. :)

Take your checklist and go over it. Make sure you haven't missed anything. In about 2 weeks, contact all of your vendors and make sure the details are correct.

Take an afternoon for lunch with some friends or your mother. Even though your conversation will be geared towards the wedding, try & talk about other subjects, as well. Relax your mind.
As the day rapidly approaches, keep breathing. You're suppose to be filled with excitement & anticipation. The man you love is about to return home & become your husband.

But I'm wondering, are you depressed for another reason? Are you having doubts about this marriage? If you are, now is the time to find the problem & fix it. Postpone the wedding if necessary.

Not only is it completely normal, it is completely EXPECTED. With your fiance being gone and your having to plan the wedding yourself, your stress level should be going through the roof.

My suggestions is to put the wedding stuff on hold for a few days and take time for yourself. Delegate some of the remaining duties to someone such as your maid of honor, or your mom. Go to the spa, get your hair and nails done, turn off your phone take a hot bath, go shopping (NO WEDDING THINGS!!). Just be kind to yourself and treat yourself to some things that you dont do on an every day basis.

Congratulations, you have now realized you are 100% normal!!!

I know there are so many details to think about for a wedding. the most important thing to remember is to keep things simple. Emplore the help from friends and family. Remember that this day is about a marriage for life, not just a wedding.

Same here....sorry to be so basic but i fianlly went to doc and he prescribed some xanyx, not kidding, it helps but only as a temp thing to get me through the damn wedding....(nice way to refer to it huh...but tha tis the way i feel)...it has helped me to relax and my stomache is not always in that ridiculous knot any more. he told me (doc) it can be addictive so be careful with it, a months supply, i only take a half of one mil. atta do it, I finally went when it got so bad that i would almost throw up every time the big day was mantioned...it was bad. I know many out there may htink it is a bad idea but who wants to be bridezilla puking down the isle...???? good luck...fellow nervous nelly!!!!!

Grab your girlfriends and go have a spa day! Pamper yourself, and talk about things other than the wedding.
And yes, its completely normal to be stressed out.

Put on your "Franky Goes to Hollywood" cassette tape, fast forward on side A to "Relax."

And do just that.
