There are two types of gossip; humorous, and malicious.
Humorous is making a joke which the subject would find amusing, which is acceptable.
Malicious gossip, however, is designed to damage a person, and should be condemned at every opportunity.

Not at all. When people gossip it is usually because they feel bad about themselves so they focus on others to make them feel better.

noooo. every day i go to work and a group of women in this factory hate me for no reason. the lies i hear about myself are horrible. still, there is no need to sink to their level.
