You just do it get over it, it is not going to happen over night but you seem to be obsessing over the situation which is dragging out the healing process. So stop thinking of the past and the relationship, and start thinking of what you want to do in your life and how to better yourself for the next relationship. But be a bit more careful when chooseing the next man make sure he treats you like your are the best person in his life.

I couldn't get over my ex way back when, so I started *the ex fast*. I told all my friends that I wasn't going to talk about, think about, etc *THE EX*, and that I was going to get rid of all my pcitures. So when I would mention him, my friends would change the subject. When I would think about him, I would start thinking about something else (I pre-planned subjects to think about). I also started meeting and dating other people. All of these things really helped. I stopped thinking about him. I moved on. And now I am happily married to someone else and can't believe that I carried a torch for that bonehead for so long.
