... in order for a guy (preferably a boyfriend) to like her?

I constantly talk to my boyfriend about how much I dislike my body, and told him about my eating disorder. He tries to convince me that I'm pretty but I keep disagreeing. Is this making him like me less? Should I pretend I'm okay with myself?

Stop talking about your body to him. It's a total turn off. If you have an eating disorder, go see your Doctor. People tend to like you, for you. So stop obsessing with yourself, and be happy. Good Luck ~~~

Yeah he doesnt care about u he probably doesnt care abut himself if he was a real bf then he would told u then that u need to get some help or he needs to help u if ur feeling worse about yourself then hes not doing his job. You should be proud of who u are and what u look like answer this question if you dont think that u dont have a nice body then y do u have a bf? Be comfortable of who u are and seek help because all ur doing is hurting urself and pray to find self esteem in yourself and confidence

Just because you don't think you're pretty doesn't mean everybody else thinks the same. My boyfriend hated how I use to talk down about my body. I'm a black girl and most of the black guys I know like "thick girls" and "light skinned girls" but I'm skinny and brown skinned. He tells me I'm pretty, I have a beautiful body, and a nice smile and he tells me how he don't like how I dislike my physical appearance and then I learned how to appreciate what God blessed me with. And keep this in mind always: Nobody's perfect!

You can't be in a fulfilling and supportive relationship until you love and support yourself FIRST. Believe me, there is nothing more unattractive to either sex when someone is constantly complaining about their self, whether it be their body or talent or whatever. If someone gives you a compliment, it's only in good manners to smile and say "Thank you", not disagree with them which is extremely rude and tasteless. Keep doing that and people will stop complimenting you altogether. They must have a reason for saying nice things about you, go ahead and believe them. They are probably true.

As for your eating disorder, that's serious. They can severely damage your body for the rest of your life. The good thing is you've recognized it, now you need to seek help for it. Things will only get better once you accept yourself and love your whole body, because it is yours.

honey, men absolutely adore confident/positive women/girls and it is a turn off for him if the women/girl is needy/negative about herself and others. you must learn to accept and love yourself as you are if you want someone to like/love you.

first you need to accept yourself as you are and if your not cool with yourself get help.

second if he tells you that your pretty than he feels you are

it was wrong to tell him that but w/e what's done is done

don't pretend your ok...you'll get worst, if you dont feel good about yourself get help and well maybe he may dislike you cause you may be sick but if his there with you and hasent left, he cares...
