i was typing up an application...when all of a sudden everytime i typed a letter it erased the one ahead of it...i know it's somethin you press but i'm not sure which one...does anyone know?

You have pressed the INSERT key on your keyboard... that makes the text editor overwrite the characters already on the text file with the new ones you type.
Press that key again and it will get deactivated.

On the right side of the keyboard, press "Insert", then start typing.

u need to press the insert key on the keyboard this will stop this problem.
