The operative word here is BELIEVER......It's true that Jesus has overcome on our behalf, but we haven't always appropriated everything He's done for us in our own life yet. If you're saved, you go to heaven. It wasn't dependent upon us to get saved, and it's not up to us to keep ourselves saved. The ones that think you can lose your "eternal salvation" are a mixed up crowd....

Believer's would 999 of 1000 no be in addictive problems. A
person that is under extreme inoperative lifestyle, say a spy
for the government versus crime, could have that problem.
To take part in our real world, the key issue is how great is
God's laws? Though not even God should chew your food,
we need to make those traditional choices to achieve HIS
rewards, Heaven is His perfect place for His followers. No
the answer is the mightiest God places us in a non-corrupt

If they are doing their best to overcome the addiction and have in their heart they really want to overcome and die in the process before they have had the victory over it, yes, i do believe they can go to Heaven as their hearts were in the right place. Only God can say for sure though as He is the only One that knows the heart.

Yes, sometimes things like that our obstacles God puts in our life to teach us an important lesson. And as long as the person overcomes it and repents and love God they will still go to heaven, because in the bible God forgives all sins as long as the person asks for forgiveness and repents.

Addictions are strongholds that we allow to control our lives. If you've promised your life to God and you are walking by faith---you should pray for that bondage to break in your life. If Jesus gave his life for you--don't you think it should be pretty easy for us to give him something back. I just looked at it like giving him a present. I turned alcohol and cigarettes over to Him, just like giving him a gift-and I would never take back a gift that I gave to someone. It's with a pure heart that he will honor our walk and allow the Holy Spirit to remove all urges from us.
