No , if you cut cat's whiskers then they wouldn't be able to feel around in tight spaces or they might not be able to see as well as they can already. Also, they're whiskers do grow back because they lose them often during a shedding cycle like during the summer

Thou Shall Not Cut Your Cat’s Whiskers!
Another common mistake is presuming that cat whiskers should be trimmed. Some cats, like the Devon Rex, even have curly facial whiskers, so you might think that it wouldn’t be harmful to straighten them out with a little trim. You'd be wrong!
Grooming, trimming or cutting off a cat’s whiskers is a big no-no. Without their tactile hairs, cats become very disoriented and frightened. In short, whiskers enable cats to gauge and make sense of their environment. Whiskers do grow back, but cats need their whiskers to remain intact in the same way you and I need our touch senses to get around. That is, cats use their whiskers in the same way that we use the touch receptors in our finger tips to feel our way around in the darkness, and to alert us to potentially painful situations.
Cat whiskers shed and grow back naturally, and should be left alone.

No, you should never cut a cat's whiskers because cats use their whiskers as sensory devices. If their whiskers can go through a hole without touching then their whole body can go through. If their whiskers are cut it's similar to blind folding them and it puts them in danger.

Not really. There is no need to, since whiskers don't really damage anything. But they help the cat feel his way around close up objects, which is important because cats are farsighted. They don't see very close up objects very well, so the whiskers help them a lot.

If your cat is an out-door cat, then don't. They use the whiskers as a measure to see if the rest of their body will fit into a tight spot. Cutting their whiskers may cause them to be trapped.

I hope you haven't. I did that to my cat several years ago and my brother said I was being cruel. I thought the cat looks perttier without whiskars, but then my brother said I had made one of his sensory organs not functioning. The whiskers did grow back but took so many months and we kept him inside most of the time because I felt guilty and worried. But I heard that some whiskers did not grow back for some cats, I dont know why.

well to say do not ever ever cut a cats whiskers. if you did this the whiskers on a cat are like receptors or like sonar that helps a cat find its way around the house at night. mostly it helps them with movement around them. cutting the whiskers off will greatly cause the cat to have hardly any depth perception and will become off balance. please don't cut off the whiskers. i hope this helps you.
