It is impossible to truly believe in Jesus and not in the Bible. At John 17:17, Jesus said to his Father in prayer: "...your Word is truth. " Jesus believed in the Bible. He quoted from it many times. For instance: When He was tempted by the Devil, he used the Bible as his defense by saying a number of times: "It is written. " If Jesus used the Bible as his authority, we should look at it the same way.
You say you don't believe in the Bible because you think it has too many vague interpretations? That is not the fault of the Bible; the fault lies with those who put their own ideas into what the Bible really says. For example: many churches teach that God came to the earth to die for us, right? But does the Bible actually say that? No. At John 3:16 it says that God sent his SON--not God himself. A number of churches teach that the human soul is immortal. Does the Bible say that? No. At Ez. 18:4, 20, it says that the soul CAN die. So you see? The Bible's message is clear as a bell. The fault is with imperfect people who read their own ideas into the Bible.

ironically speaking, if it were not for the Bible, we would know nothing about Jesus. Jesus came to this Earth, in oder to part His knowledge to the 12 disciples which would then spread His Word to the rest of the World. the very book you don't believe, is the very book that taught you about Jesus Christ.
What kind of Father would not leave accurate instructions for His children ????
The Words of God are infallible, our interpretations of the Words of God are indeed fallible. But just because the Words of God are frequently misinterpreted does not mean the Words of God are wrong or incorrect. Trust the Bible and what it says, don't trust the interpretation of any human.

For the most part, the Bible--as we know it today--contains MOST of The Message of Yeshua Messiah, Jesus Christ, and it cannot be discounted merely because of, or based on, the alterations and the obvious corruptions made to the original texts by the scribes of the early church, specifically by the RCC in the 4th century AD and onwards.
The key is to know which of the entries in the Bible were maliciously and erroneously made for their particular purposes at the time. However this entails some investment of one's time by some serious research on the part of the biblical scholar, searching, seeking and absorbing other Scriptural materials [i.e. Gnostic Gospels, Dead Sea Scrolls, etc.] to obtain a rounder picture of what took place at the time. This also includes learning more about, and comparing, the teachings of other major prophets and religions such as Buddhism [Buddha], Islam [Mohammed], Judaism [Moses], etc. relative to the one taught in the Bible [Jesus].
In short, in one's quest for spirituality, one has to concede to objectivity in studying Comparative Religions.
True, each religion professes its own great prophet and without a doubt they are all divinely inspired. Yet ultimately, after years of studies, I have come to surmise that none is greater than the Greatest Prophet of all, Yeshua/Jesus. Praise Be Upon Him!
Peace be with you.

Believe means perception is reality. It doesn't matter WHAT you believe as long as you "believe" it to be the truth. I "believe" I have a brain in my head even though I have never seen, or touched it. I have no solid evidence I have a brain, yet I believe. The same is true with Jesus, or the Bible. You dont need solid proof to "believe" something. You just have to think it is true.

Without the Bible I can't believe about Jesus. I would just believe anything I want and create a Jesus in my head that satisfies my personal bias.

I believe Jesus was a prophet and was imbued with a Divine 'hot-line'. I also like many of the stories in the Bible and think many lessons can be learned from that book.

I believe Jesus was the son of God the same as you and I. He was a good teacher and made a hero in his day but was a nonconformist. This is why he was crucified. Who knows who the next rebel will be. In the days of Jesus it was common practice to totally blow out of portion the deeds of their hero's.
As far as the bible goes it's the biggest bunch of fairy tales and plain lies ever created.

Well that still won't get you to heaven... But no I do believe in the Bible.
@above post.. Where do people study at? There are alot of extrenal resources(not in the bible) that support Jesus as being raised from the dead.
It is plainly said in the Bible that you have to believe in jesus as the son of god rasied from the dead and repent of your sins. He is Chirst liike it or not.
