Any one thing can be dangerous if abused!
(even overdosing on water can kill you because it flushes all the sodium from you blood)
More people abuse alcohol, probably because it's socially acceptable, legal and easy to obtain.
Too much alcohol over extended time can permanently damage your liver.
Short term, one big binge, resulting in alcohol poisoning (rare) can kill you . This happens time to time with some dumb college kid, who turns 21, drinks a whole bottle of whiskey, and stops breathing, duh.
Alcohol also tends to impair peoples judgment, making bad decisions like driving after a few drinks (careless and dangerous to others) and can affect relationships with friends, and work habits
Marijuana can also be abused. If getting high becomes a priority over other normal aspects of life (family friends work school hobbies etc.) you have a problem.
Statistically alcohol abuse kills more people than marijuana abuse. I don't have my sources to cite here, but research is available on-line.
Bottom line; there is a difference between use and abuse. I believe the way to enjoy life is moderation....Lots and lots of moderation :}

I believe alcohol is definitely more dangerous than weed. Think about it. How many deaths on the road are marijuana related? How many domestic violence issues are related to marijuana? You hardly ever hear of any type of violence, road rage, sexual abuse or assaults connected with marijuana. And then think about all the bad things that happen that are somehow alcohol related. I don't smoke it often but I do wish it were legalized.

This is an easy question. No. Marijuana has less deaths, less motor vehicle accidents, because it is ILLEGAL. Alcohol is a TON more accessible then Marijauna, and the percentage of people that drink, as opposed to smoke mary jane have to be staggering.
One of the major dangers of marijuana is that everyone thinks it's harmless, and many people abuse it.

With alcohol you might get serous of the live, not so with marijuana. But they do claim out of alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, speed, marijuana is the only one to cause cromizone(excuse spelling) damage.

I think that the effects of alcohol are substantially worse than that of marijuana. I have seen alcohol cause horrible fights between best friends/family members/complete strangers, people have sex (oftentimes unprotected) when they otherwise wouldn't, car wrecks, arrests, people absolutely humiliating themselves for a variety of reasons, etc.
It seems like nothing (literally) really happens when people smoke though.

I think both are equally as dangerous. I have heard that you can't be physically addicted to pot like alcohol but I have lived to see many many people use it as a crutch, spend all their money on it and not be able to get a good job because they can't pass the P-Test.

NO. Marijuana is far more addictive. Also, one joint of marijuana has 4 times as much lung-cancer causing substances as a cigarette. Marijuana is far more dangerous to your health. (why do you think its illegal and alcohol's not?)
Whatever you do, do NOT use alcohol and marijuana at the same time. Marijuana reduces the urge to vomit and stomach pain (hence its use by cancer patients), which allows you to overdrink without noticing any typical signs of overdrinking.

The death rate differential between the two are astronomic. Millions have lost their lives over the causes of intoxication. The laws are backwards as well. In that the answer is clearly Booze of any kind in large doses cause more problems than pot. Hands down.
