You couldn't have damaged anything byt sleeping with the light on. Waking up with a headache is usually caused by breathing in too much carbon dioxide. Did you wake up and realize you had covered your head with a pillow or your blanket? My guess is, with the lights on, you probably did. When you do that, you actually inhale a large percentage of the carbon dioxide you exhaled. The longer your head is covered, the more concentrated with CO2 that area under there gets. It'll never be enough to kill yourself, but it can cause a mean migraine. Just take some pain reliever and you'll be fine.

Your headache has nothing to with lights that were on the whole night, there is nothing in your body that can be damaged by light otherwise we could be having problems during the day. Just take medication for your headache and go on with life.

I don't think sleeping with a light on will damage anything, so take some tylenol and get moving!
