He practically has! But God is still in overall control. If you read the book of Job (in the Bible), you will understand that the devil can only go so far. God is more powerful than the devil.

The Book of Daniel and the Book of Revelation describes the Antichrist (the Devil incarnate) as leading the world system during the last days. The Bible says that the only thing that prevents this person from coming on the scene, is the Holy Spirit in the world. When this power is removed, you will see this man step forward to lead the world with "all the answers".

For the most part, the Devil has taken over the earth. 1 John 5:20 says: "The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one."

The devil definitely has power on earth but God has a much greater power. God would never allow Satan to take control of the earth (Genesis 18) nor does Satan have the power to control the earth, he is far below God.

Fictional characters cannot take over anything. Besides, if you read the bible, the devil is a kind teacher. God is the one that kills millions of people. The devil never harmed a soul (except for poor Job) According to the bible, the devil is the Earths First Teacher. (he taught "Good and Evil 101")

In is my singular (probably) belief... that contrary to what is portrayed on the news...good and evil are in balance. Being each others Yin and Yang they, as opposites, create a whole which is essentially always in accordance. So that while a single occurrence of good or evil may seem to outweigh the other.. in reality as a whole it does not.
As to who is in charge of the "evil" or "good" is a whole other issue left up to those who have the time, energy, and desire to argue it. I, for one see, it pointless to argue something that can not be proven or measured. When it comes down to it, each person should believe what they want to and not impose their beliefs on anyone else.. and I wholeheartedly include myself in that statement.

Because God won't allow it.
If you believe in the devil then logically you must believe in God and that it was God that sent the devil to hell.
Even so, regardless of all that the word God in itself means in part an, 'Omnipitant being.'
The word 'devil' however is one that usually describes an adversary or mischeif maker who is not omnipitant but is a lot of bother.
I'll let you do the logic on the rest...hope this answers your question...

It's already happened. Why do you think the world is as it is now? We Christians are the rebels, the freedom fighters, who break out of satans dominion to take our place in The Kingdom of God that Jesus has prepared for us. But our war is not against people, they are the ones we want to bring freedom to. it is against thr principalities and powers, the false gods, the demons and the spirits of darkness that we war against
