If I could adopt (and I can't afford to) I would want a little girl. I had a boy and I loved him with everything in me. I always wanted a girl so I can put bows in her hair,,buy cute little dresses, etc. There's only so much you can do to boy's clothes. As a single parent it would easier to have a girl..my son needed a man and there wasn't one around..it was hard for me to try to be "daddy"...However, as bad as I want another baby, I would take boy or girl.

The best way to decide is to think of an age and if that age is old enough to go to a school then go to an local school and look at the girls and look at the boys and choose a girl or boy (not in the school just the type) and then go and adopt>I wouldn't go for a child out of your country because you don't know if they speak different languages. If i were to adopt i would adopt a girl because their easy to deal with ,i think!

Boy. I have 2 girls and 1 son and my son wants a brother so badly. I'd love to adopt a red haired child just because the child would match my kids and he'd look like us. I'd not want a child to stick out like a sore thumb and feel adopted. Its 1 thing to know you are adopted and another for everyone to think you are a family friend instead of family. I know that is extreamly picky, but its how I feel. I don't look like anyone in my family and I always hated that. So it was nice that my kids actually look related to me! I'd want that for all my kids, not just the genetic matches.

Well I've always wanted to adopt a child from China and since you can only adopt girls from China I guess I'd have to have a girl.

I would proably adopt a boy. I have two already so I have boy stuff! I'd adopt locally, there are too many kids already here without parents!

it wouldnt matter if it was a boy or girl i would still love them and treat them right and make sure they are well educated and know differences between right and wrong and tell them the dangers of smoking and alcohol and just be there for them.

I would want to a girl because you can dress them up and when they get older they you can put makeup and just have fun.
