the New Black Panthers organization, were called to a local town because police officers........?

tear gassed a large group of people after a local festival. be advised that the original Black Panterhs dont even recognize them as part of there organization. they threatedn the sheriff dept with physical force if they do that again. the sheriff dept is loooking to see if he can file criminal charges against reverend brown. does the sheriff have grounds to arrest him? its in todays local newspaper www.acadiananow.com

If they phyically threaten the police with violence then I think the sheriff does have grounds to arrest him. You can't go around threatening to hurt people, that's against the law

Now I don't know what happened or why the police moved in and teargassed those people but the police do have a right to do that to protect people and property from harm. If these New Black Panthers are threatening violence then all I can assume is that they are intentionally stirring up trouble to make themselves feel important.

I hate it when only a few people in a crowd of sometimes thousands start breaking the law and destroying and force the police to move in and the entire crowd gets caught in the middle.

P.S: I just found the article, it's say that they will 'Patrol' the streets since the police won't and do what needs to be done. That is called vigilantism and is against the law.

They were also inciting to riot, so what they are doing is completely against the law
