I suffer from a acid problem in my stomach, basically I produce too much acid and every couple of years I get a peptic ulcer where I vomit up blood im 20 and have had 4 so far one when I was 4 , 8, 11, and 17. My doctor advised me not to take asprin or to consume foods with citric acid in them particurally citrus fruits. Two days ago I accidently ate a piece of cake made from real strawberies ever since my stomach has been playing up. I went into see the pharamist yesterday and he gave me zantac but the problem has not gone I dont want to go to the doctor in case im over-reacting but I am worried. Any advise? thanks for taking the time to read this.

You need to get to A&E now. If you've already had 4 ulcers by the age of 20, and the Zantac isn't working, you may need iv pantoprazole along with something to control the pain. Go now, don't wait till you get another ulcer.

i get acid problem, but its gastric acid. they gave me some tablet to control the acid level.

but in ur case, u are vomiting blood, which is really important to visit to hospital. you are not over reactingm u are taking care of ur health, which is good thing. Please see doctor and say u want a x ray or ur stomach checked.

i have gastric problem, which gives me pain in my chest. dont let it get worse, from acid problem u mite get ulcer.
