there is a dish washing spray that's called 'power dissolver' its put out by 'dawn' its for baked on and burnt on greasy dishes that hard to clean. i use it on my cars interior to. i just spray it on and when the foam soaks in i rub it and repeat it until the hardness is gone then its easy to get out.

If it's dried up then there really isn't a way to get it out except to pick at it and get it out. Maybe cut it out with scissors. Since it's dried it's on there pretty good and you're going to have to just pick it out.

My son did the same thing one day. Let it completely dry, then take a butter knife and scraped it off. Your not going to get it all out at one time, but you should be able to get most of it out. Keep scraping it off as you vaccum and eventually it'll be gone.

Try to brush it out of the fibers and vacuum. At least it wasn't bubble gum.
