There was no original founder of paganism. It was a belief developed separately as far back as civilization exists to believe in something Divine in a most simple, generic term. No matter how advanced or how simplistic human civilization is, there will always be a need to worship or find something greater then yourself to answer questions or seek guidance in an uncertain world.

Paganism is older than Christianity and Judaism. It is the root of all religions.
There is no founder. You may possibly be thinking about Wicca which was started by Gerald Gardner in the 1950's in England. Wicca is a neo pagan religion which means it is a modernized version of older pagan practices.

Um Paganism doesnt really have a founder. I think the earliest known form of Paganism dates back to cave men basically. There are cave painting of what appears to be a horned God etc, its believed this God was worshipped/thanked for food he provided. Sorta like the God of hunting. Thats all I can remember of the top of my head so it may not be exactly right.

Pagans generally, like all religious adherents, try to understand the mysteries of the world and life through spiritual and supernatural beliefs. The Christian world populates the supernatural plane with God, Christ, Angels, Satan, Demons, paganism and other earlier religions simply did the same thing in a different way.
We live, we survive, we die. The questions do not get answered. We learn to find our own way. That is life.

There is no one founder of paganism. Paganism is a blanket term for all the ancient beliefs that predate christianity in many different countries.

Paganism has been around for a long time; we don't know the founder. But I can say that Pagans created their religion to do what they wanted, and to free themselves from an authoritarian God.

There was no founder of paganism. The term paganism was used by the Abrahamic death cults (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) to denote anyone who believed in any god but theirs.

There is no one founder of paganism
The Christian deemed any religion not theirs as paganism
So the anicent Greek and Roman religions and Gods were pagans, the Celtics, the Druids, etc.
So the paganism is any religion that the Christians wanted to elemenate, it is not one religion and so no one founder

As others have said, paganism is not a specific belief system and therefore doesn't have a founder. Were you referring to Wicca, perhaps?

As many others in this thread have said.
There was no one founder of paganism, as in one village they would worship this spirit, and in another one they would worship another one.
Paganism applied to quite a broad varying field of worship.
