I have to do an assignment for a class. My group has written a document in Microsoft Word, but for every paragraph I have to comment on "why" my group chose to write what we wrote. (we are writing a contract, so we have to explain "why" for each term we introduced in the contract). This document needs to be printed, so it needs to look good when printed.

What's the best way to format this? I could use the "Track Changes" option in Word, and enter comments for at each point I need to. Is there anything better? My concern is that the comment "balloons" are kinda small. Also, once I've entered the comments, it's hard to move them around.

I kinda think I'd rather just have another column in the document that's independent of the main content. Is there a way to do that?

Create a table (using Insert Table) with two columns. Use the first column for the contracts, with a cell for each paragraph. Use the second column for the explanation.

There are 3 enormous motives i can imagine of for this to take position. If the record is wide, then observe may take a lengthy even as to open it. You hint that it used to open fairly instantly, so as that likely isn't the case except you've extra some tremendous pictures or similar presently. yet another excuse might want to be stuff embedded contained in the record. now and again pictures or clippings from different record sorts are embedded utilizing a technologies said as OLE. OLE keeps hyperlinks to the unique record and courses used to show and edit the products, now and again those hyperlinks destroy and observe will spend a short even as determining the hyperlinks are lengthy gone. My funds might want to be in this being a record that you edit a touch and then document keep. In that state of affairs observe doesn't continually keep the completed record, it purely keep the adjustments you've made. even as it lots the record it lots what replaced right into a lengthy time period in the past and then makes all the edits you've made in view that. many times you do not observe, it takes position very instantly, yet in severe condition it may commence taking a lengthy time period. no matter if that is that later, then the answer's to apply document keep As to a clean document. you may then rename both information you've so the newly saved record has the call you're familiar with.

For your need's I feel that adding foot note is the best choice. In the latest version of word you can go to Insert menu and then click references and then click 'foot note'.

You could "insert - table" into the document. I don't know that it will look good, but might as well give it a try.
