There are plently of Catholic immigrants.
Many Irish were Catholic, and Catholicism is especially popular in Latin America, so many Latin American immigrants bring their catholicism with them.

We have had plenty of Catholic immigrants over the years. The Irish and the Italians come immediately to mind. My Swiss Catholic grandparents immigrated in 1920. I don't think anyone has a problem with Hispanic immigrants because of their religion. Okay, maybe somebody does, but the key issue is whether we can get a handle on our borders so we know exactly who is coming into our country, where they are and what they are doing. When my grandparents came into this country, they had to show that they were in good health and that they had a job or relatives who would support them. That doesn't seem to be too much to ask of immigrants to a country.

Religion is not a 'class' in immigration law. There are plenty of immigrants from around the world who happen to be Catholic.

Usually, we don't group immigrants by religion but by country.
We probably have a lot of Catholic immigrants. Most Spanish people are Roman Catholic (and Jewish, believe it or not, especially in South America).

We've got more Catholics than we can shake a stick at...I'd like to see ALL of the above religious institutions pass an annual public audit, if they intend on doing 'business' in the United States anymore...their freedom OF religion is my freedom FROM it.
