What are they up to?

I, too, am not a drinker and I come across this attitude often. People seem to think that non-drinkers feel they are "better" than other people or have some sort of superiority complex. I am not sure why not drinking alcohol makes people particularly defensive, but it seems to.

You could go out and find all new friends, or you could allow your friends to get to know your husband so that they can find that his not drinking is a personal choice and not a judgment of them.

Good luck!

WOW! That reminds me of the Opposite Sketches from that TV show You Can't Do That On Television. The fact that he doesn't drink is great. Maybe they're just jealous, since their's all do.

Unfortunately, this is a common attitude among drinkers. The more heavily they drink, the more common it is. They assume that if he doesn't drink, he's judging them for the fact that they do. That says more about how insecure they are about their own drinking than anything else.

You are lucky to have a husband that does not drink, it is your gfs that has a problem, let them solve it; you should be proud of your husband.

Then you need new friends. lots of people don't drink. its about personal choices.Screw what your friends think you should be proud hes responsible and takes good care of himself. And you should go and tell him how foolish your being about this and then make it up to him by cooking him his favourite meal.

I would be proud of him that he don't, and if they are that is their problems. You are the one that has to live with him, and it would be way better to have a sober husband than an alcoholic one. If they have a problem with it, find better friends..
