If a married man/woman has sex with someone other than there spouse it's adultery. If a person that isn't married has sex with a married person, and they know that that person is married, what would that be considered for the unmarried person? Is that too adultery?

That too is adultery. Even if that married person does not tell the non married person that they are in fact married, it causes the unknowing single person to become guilty of adultery. To avoid this entirely.... Do not have sexual relations if you are not married to the person you are having sex with. Get married first. Other wise you are guilty of fornication which is also a sin.

Yes, that is adultery. Adultery is sex with anyone or animal that isn't ones spouse or future spouse.

In the old testament, the unmarried man that had sex with the married woman was an adulterer too.

That would be adultery for the person that is married, but for the person that had sex with them that is unmarried that wouldn't be adultery. They would just be considered the other man/woman. Since they are single I don't think they could say "I commited adultery" because they aren't the one who is married.

fornication for the unmarried and adultery for the married one. Both are under the same law.

Isn't this splitting hairs? Whether it's adultery or fornication, it is still not acceptable according to Biblical standards.

Consider "fornication" as a subset of "adultery". To answer your question, that would be fornication (which is a form of adultery).

Adultery is a term applied to a married person.

The term for unmarried people is "fornication".

if any married person has a sexual relationship with another person and it is not their spouse, this is adultery
If any single person has a sexual relationship with another person before they are married it is fornication.
So then in the above scenario, the one who was married, is committing adultery, and the one who is single is committing fonication.

1Cor:6:9: Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither FORNICATORS, nor idolaters, nor ADULTERERS, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10: Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

The Words of God say if you are any of these things, you WILL NOT enter into the Kingdom of God. let the Words of God be True and what human say be false.

You need a noun for this? Philandering.

Philandering: To carry on a sexual affair, especially an extramarital affair, with a woman one cannot or does not intend to marry. Used of a man.
