i have heard that the piercing can be ripped off. i'm afraid if i wear my harness for top-roping and lead climbing, it could rip my piercing off. is this true?
if i get it done, how long does it take till i can go back climbing?

well, i rock climb, and sometimes on walls that are a little slanted but very high, i like to lean against the wall to rest. i think that would be very hard if there was a piece of metal through my naval, but thats just me.

Navel piercings take a long time to heal. They're easily irritated from your pants rubbing against them. Can take a year to heal.
Any piercing can get ripped out. Even simple little lobe piercings. You just have to be careful.
This really doesn't sound like a good piercing for your lifestyle. Maybe cartilidge would be better? Very sturdy, and tons and tons of very cute options. Check out tribalectic.com. They have a ridiculous number of pictures.

I would have the same concerns. Also - FYI - if you do have it pierced and ever plan on getting preg., be sure to take it out and let it heal completely before you get preg. Otherwise, you end up with stretch marks that look like your cleavage continues down to your crotch. If you get pierced and go climbing, cover and pad it really well, and you should be ok as long as you don't sweat the dressing off. Keep climbing!

I don't rock-climb often, so i dont know about the risks it could cause, but from what i can think of, i think itd be fine to get your belly-button pierced.
i would suggest wearing a 'stud' or at least not a very long one seeing as how that would increase the chances of it getting caught on something.
i've heard from people that their clothes cause rubbing and irration on the navel piercing,so make sure you want it a lot before getting it done- think if over. but i think you wanted it enough, rockclimbing would b fine

I would be concerned of being caught in a lightning storm while climbing the face of El Capitan and having a bolt of lightning go to ground through my navel ring.

If that is true, (that it could get ripped off) then I would use a retaner bar when I was climbing. It's just a little clear banana bar, they work the best with any peircing

that is not any ask your self human beings think of you're 12-14 years previous. I recommend heavily??? it can not kill you, dumbass! Get it achieved from somebody who is conscious what they're doing and you'd be effective. How interior the hell ought to absolutely everyone think of that a piercing ought to circulate by the exterior, fats, muscle, and then to the small gut and kill somebody???? FAIL!!!!

sounds risky. if you are already worrying about it now, then just think how much you will worry once its in. is that going to take away from your performance and concentration?
