It destroys their houses. In the days before satellites they also killed thousands of people; but now we can track them in the open ocean with satellites and warn people to evacuate, so the loss of life from hurricanes is greatly reduced now.

Well I can tell you what happened to New Orleans in the last year. It decreased by about 1/2. Many did not come back. Now we are experiencing a population shift from African American to Hispanic (basically Mexican)because of all the blue-collar type of labor available due to the rebuilding. They say in a couple of years hispanics may be the majority in NO.

hurricanes are known to have the most efects after damage to the pop.! Do you know 90% og people help when they are asked or know they need to help.
