Well I can tell you what happened to New Orleans in the last year. It decreased by about 1/2. Many did not come back. Now we are experiencing a population shift from African American to Hispanic (basically Mexican)because of all the blue-collar type of labor available due to the rebuilding. They say in a couple of years hispanics may be the majority in NO.
