Okay, let us just call that wierd! Somehow I do not think it is about shoes at all. Simply put, if you are in a relationship with him and you are willing to allow it to happen, then that is fine. It is your choice to let it be or not. If you feel uncomfortable with it or are doubtful as to any significance to it, then don't allow it. You need to be respectful to you first and foremost. If you are doing something solely for the benefit for someone else, you must consider what you will be dealing with after the fact. What I mean is, if you will be disgusted, or mentally/emotionally distraught by letting him do it, only to make him happy. Then it isn't worth it!

No, the shoes can have a lot of dirt (germs). I wouldn't want to kiss him after that.
