Accountability is one of the measurements of truth. There are many but I believe accountability is by far the best. Lies can't stand the light of day when they have to be accounted for. It's like tracing the origin of where it came from and determining what was the reason for it. Then you will know if it is a lie or the truth.

"Truth" is always subjective when it comes to human beings. It's a word that gets bandied about alot, when no one knows the "truth." The truth is what exists, whether we believe in it or not. Most folks can't concieve of truth as possibly being something other than what they are told. Measuring "truth" would almost exclusively belong to physicists, they're the only ones I can think of who measure what is, not justify what they want to have be "true."

It is the reality around us. That is our own truth. We live with it everyday and should accept this with an open mind and a generous heart.

well - looks like you really got the bible thumpers in a frenzy over this one.
Truth is not measurable - it is subjective & depends solely on your perspective or viewpoint.
Its like history - it is generally written by the victors - therefore any "truths" that are recorded will be biased.

It's the emotion you feel when you know you HAVE told the truth and everyone knows. Compare this to the feeling when you lie and everyone knows.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
These are the most important truths to measure your life by. Praise the Lord!!
