Maybe you're using the wrong size. Try out some different kinds/brands. I prefer Always with wings. They're pretty thin as far as pads go, and the wings keep them in place better. I find pads far more comfortable than tampons.

They take getting used to, they are uncomfortable for every woman who uses them.
Try finding the ones that are thin - Always makes nice thin pads.

I hate pads too. I haven't used them for years. Try using tampons instead. So much more conveniant. If you're worried about 'leaking', you could also wear a thin panty-liner at the same time. Much more comfortable.

The pad is usually to thick and wide for you. You should a tampon or a thinner less wide pad, but if you have heavy periods, you should use a tampon.

I am a guy. But they are not comfortable to anyone. You are not the only one dear. Everyone suffers. Alternatively you can use tampons but they may be eevn more uncomfortable in your case, I guess.
