Totally agree. although I do believe in the spirit world.
Due to freak weather that can happen in that region there was a sheet of ice on the river that moses parted. He basically cracked the ice with his staff and it split.
Also Jesus walking on water was him probably walking on ice.
Other stories can be explained in a similar manner without the disciples deliberately telling lies or being brainwashed.
Jesus in the speak they used during that time to me referred to our sub conscious mind. Which is obviously a part of evolution and has developed for centuries. We can probably tap into information that floats around like micro waves radio waves etc we cant see them we just need to try in tune in like mediums do.

Actually I don't belive Jesus ever actually existed. They can't even get their story straight on just when he was born when they are describing the events supposedly happening at that time. I think the Jesus thing was an adaption of the Mithra cults to become useful as a new state religion for the Roman Emperors.
Even the use of Koine Greek as the language indicates political use as a consideration.

I believe you've made a foolish statement. Do , just a little study and give some thought. Also, try some of the old testament, the whole thing points to Christ, He fulfilled every bit. That is the experience that the apostles had. Do you really think all of these men would go to their death years after Christ went to the cross otherwise?
We are worth a Son to God.

guess you have no clue about the Bible as its clear you haven't read it.
large group of people? where? Jesus had FEW followers back then, the masses were against him...hence the crucifixion.
not until after his death and he arose from the grave did the masses start to slowly wake up over time and history.
Jesus did not walk around with some mass of 300,000 people following him. Was more like 20 people.
And to slam you.......enjoy the punishment from above for thinking such actions....he will let you know somehow he was not happy w/ that statement. So soon when something just goes wrong or you can't do it....realize a higher power got you back.

no, i dont think that way..sorry..there is no way many many different people wrote the bible and made it all up, i cant see it that way..and, a lot of the things in one book of the bible are mentioned in another..so i dont think anyone was brainwashed or so..the way i can explain it is, if you are saved and believe there is christ, you know it..you feel him..jesus wasnt able to convince a lot of people anything, a lot refused his word and hated him..there were some that believed him and knew he was gods son..if you dont believe in god i cant explain it better in my view, sorry..if you do, you know hes there.

Okay, its possible.
But consider, Jesus taught a lot of messages about Love and tolerance, that even if he WAS a master brainwasher, he left behind some great stuff to live by.

They apostles were in awe being in his presence - they knew he was God when they met him. That is why they left their lives and followed him.
His followers are not "brainwashed" but through faith have found an abundant life, and the promise of eternal life.
They believed with all their hearts, that is why they wrote.

I'm an agnostic and I don't think Jesus was the leader of a cult.. I think he was merely a human trying to bring about social change in his time period and others hundreds of years after he was born elevated him to the position of deity. I think those that came afterwards found him to be a good tool in creating a religion.
