If he knows it might work out for the good. I liked a guy for 2 years and my guy friends were friends with him too so they told him that I liked him. It didn't seem to change our friendship. Eventually they would tease me about it in front of him. I would get real embarrassed. I think him knowing that I liked him opened him up so down the road if he had feels for me he would just go for it. Thats what happened with me. Of course now we are married and have been for over a year now.

Many times I have liked one of my friend girls. A lot of times I never told them, but then I finally decided what could it hurt to find out. So I told a few and nothing became of us, but it didn't hurt our friendship because I told them if they didn't feel the same way to act like it was never mentioned. I have managed to tell two of them and had great relationships with both of them. Stop being scared of how you feel because you'll always wonder what could have happened if you did what your heart was telling you to do. Your heart never steers you wrong. It may cause you pain here and there, but that's how you become the person you are when you finally do fall in love with someone. Hope this advice helps and good luck.

Well... I am going out with someone in HS, and I was her friend for about 3 years before then! Just try and figure out a way that will ask him without being too imposing, but still remaining sincere. If you don't know his phone number, try saying "I lost my phone number, can I have yours?". You could try asking him something like "Do you like me as much as I like you?".
Don't worry, having a boyfriend won't really affect your schoolwork, in fact, alot of people your age do, and they still manage to get good marks. It may or may not jeopardize your friend ship with him, but if you really like him, go ahead. See where things go!
Good Luck,

it will change. But u won't know till u try. Plus u won't stay friends either. Well ur already talking to him, I never ever got that far! The school does things, notes, friends, ecrush. And there u go. No risk of rejection. Yeah, u need to or u will regret it. Trust me.

Live with things the way they are because if you haven't got the guts to tell him, then he will never know and nothing will happen. Sure sucks to be you.
