He is your son, both your's and your boyfriend's. Although your boyfriend is not biologically related, if he takes care of the baby and develops a healthy relationship with him, he is acting as a father.

Go ahead and say "our" son. No one will be hurt by it, and if people ask for details then you can briefly explain the situation. I would wait until your boy is 5 or 6 years old to tell him the truth, because then he will be able to understand and won't be so old that he'll be mad at you.

Good Luck!!!

I think it is good that he is commiting to you child. The main question you want ask yourself is whether you want to be with your new boyfriend for the long haul.

And whether you are happy with the situation. If your happy then your child will be happy. If your not then he wont. Its all phychological. I think you should class him as his father when do get married until then class him as a guardian or a friend to your child. Until that commitment is made you are the one that will child should turn too.

But no matter what happens the bond between mother and child can never be compared too or be equalled by any one else in the world.

Your the one.

The important thing here is while your boyfriend may be the biological father of the child, he's willing to step up to the plate and take on the responsibility. You should be happy he is doing this.

its ok the be excited. but your son has to right to know who his real father is. if he finds out at a later age he may be angry and rebel by going to see his real dad, and considering that if his dad is really abusive that might be a big problem.

well it depands on how you feel about it as well he has adopted your son and clearly loves him so why not talk about getting hitched.
