the god myth is a delusion of our culture, bordering on a type of mental illness that clouds the learning and curiosity of our young. for the love of god, get your head out of your ***.

Consider the parable of the Good Samaritan. The 2 "holy" men did what dogma told them was right and kept on going their way. The Samaritan, which was considered to be a bunch of Godless heretics by "right thinking" Hebrews in Jesus's time, helped the injured traveler.
What Jesus was saying there was that loving humanity and worshiping the creator by helping your fellow man was what really matters. Kind of a short version, but just saying you believe doesn't get you into heaven, and not believing "the right thing" won't always keep you out of heaven.
You are what you do.

Speaking from a strictly, 100% Biblical point of view, those who deny Christ on earth will be denied by him in Heaven. The Bible is also pretty clear that it is through a narrow gate that those being admitted shall pass, but wide are the gates to damnnation, and many those who pass through them.
Not a whole lot of peope are going to get to Heaven. Sad, but true.
Do I believe this? Personally, I'm inclined to believe that no one deserves Heaven, and that anyone should be allowed in at all is a grand mercy.

there is only one God and one redeemer and one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus. Even the devil believes in God and trembles so that is not a guarantee you will go to Heaven by believing in God. Many believed in many gods but they are not the One True God so just believing is not enough. You have to accept the One God and not only believe but do His will to be saved in Heaven and not go to Hell. Hell is not eternal as most will tell you but you will be burned up, be ashes. Only one chance and one lifetime to get it right as there are no second chances to get it right if you do not do it the first time. Read your bible and you will get the truth.

God predestines no one to go to hell. It's just not God. God is not the kind of person who wants people to go to hell.
But in the end, I believe that it is a the discretion of God to determine who goes to heaven and who goes to hell.
Anyway, below are the criteria for a person to go to hell.
God predestines no one to go to hell; for this, a willful turning away from God (a mortal sin) is necessary, and persistence in it until the end. In the Eucharistic liturgy and in the daily prayers of her faithful, the Church implores the mercy of God, who does not want "any to perish, but all to come to repentance"
(Catechism of the Catholic Church - 1037)
Those who believe in "another" God as in
"I don't know the Christian Gospel and I don't know his church but I somehow feel that there is a mighty God"... read the following.
Therefore, those who, through no fault of their own, do not know the Gospel of Christ or his Church, but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart, and, moved by grace, try in their actions to do his will as they know it through the dictates of their conscience - those too may achieve eternal salvation.
(Catechism of the Catholic Church - 807)

God doesn`t send anyone to hell. We choose not to enter heaven ourselves by our choices. People who have never heard of Jesus won`t be condemned for not believing in Him. But most of the people in the world have made a choice about Jesus, one way or the other. Choose life!

Depends on what category of Christian your referring to , many religions claim to be Christian but worship a diffrent god, Jesus siad I am the Way,the Truth and the Life he also siad Unless you be born again you cannot enter Heaven ,So he was either a liar or he was who he siad he was and you have to search the truth yourself , Many men claimed to be god ,But only one GOD claimed to be man there is a big diffrence

I think that anyone who believes in some sort of God will go to heaven. Like if someone grows up Hindu or Muslim or whatever, I think that God will recognize that, and if they are loyal to their religion and God, that He will send them to heaven.
God loves everyone, and He is not inflexible.

thinking that everyone who believes in a god will go to heaven is a nice sentiment, but it goes against what God says... Anyone who does not believe in Jesus Christ will not go to heaven.
Hell is a place of those who reject God over and over, and over again, who deny Him. Satan and the fallen angels will go there. It is a place not of eternal fire for us... for the angels yes, since they cannot be destroyed, eternal damnation is set for him, not those who choose not to follow God, that is a lie set by Satan to scare all. It isn't in God's nature to condemn His creation to hell for eternal torment. God is love and wants all of us to enter into the kingdom of heaven... for those who reject Him, simply will cease to exist... what happens when you place something in a fire... it burns up and turns to ashes... and is no more... Satan cannot be destroyed, the torment is for him... not us...
Those who are in heaven will not remember those loved ones and friends who are not destined to go to heaven. God will not torment anyone with thoughts of guilt and anguish in heaven or hell... satan is a great liar and he has robbed many of thier treasure and hope.

No...A lot of people believe in Christ that will and may go to hell. The devil believed and trembled,..If you are not born again and have Christ in your heart, and serve him, The Bible says you will burn,(parafrase) some who think they have already made it, no so....We need to humble ourselves before our precious Lord and pray we are good enough to make it. and that all our sins are under the blood of our precious Saviour.
